Just returned from my month in Spain. As always the people were very friendly and welcoming ( the cynics amongst you would say its cos of how much dosh I give their way), not me, they are genuinely nice.
Weather and wine and food as always fantastic.
However not all was good! For the other half's 50th I shipped the boys + 1 out for 8 days. Well the amount it cost it would have been cheaper to hire the Albert hall!! Great fun was had by all, food consumption stepped up a gear, but all in all a good time was had.
They returned home and then 2013 dived even deeper than it has been so far!
A few days after coming back number 1 son's girlfriend had a horrendous asthma attack and he had to rush her into A&E, she ended up staying in for 4 days. On her second day in I got a Phone call from number 2 son who was at home and couldn't breath, with horrendous chest pains. Eventually he called the paramedics and an hour later he was stabilised and taken to hospital. I don't recommend listening to one of your offspring having medical problems whist on another Continent. So the decision was made and I flew home that night to ensure all was settled and take number 2 son to London.
So got him settled in London and flew back to finish my holiday.
The day we flew back was my Mum's big cancer op. fortunately all went well.
On the Wednesday our spaniel Elgar suddenly became poorly, which ended up on the Thursday with him being put to sleep!
Welcome back to England!!! Elgar was a good age 15/16 and we had enjoyed a lot of good times with him. RIP schmuggly dog, miss you xxx
Mum is now home and recuperating, still in pain and very tired but glad to be back home and we are all delighted the operation was a success. She has only 2 more chemo sessions to go.
Go on then 2013 what else are you going to throw at me!
I am certainly getting my kicking this year.
