First the positives-
Number 1 son got a job in September at a local school. Not great money and not great hours but hey I told him it's a start, you don't know what it might bring! I was being positive, but blow me his guardian angel must have heard me. At half term he was given more hours so he is now at school from 7.30 until 6pm! A full day methinks! He is doing assisted learning mentoring and loves it. He must be doing something right judging by the Xmas presents he brought home and the fact the year 2 female teachers think he is a stripogram at the weekend. He continues to play for Cadbury first team and is playing very consistently well!
Number 2 son is getting his head down and has his first bank interview on 8th January 2014! Well done son immensely proud of you! Good luck but hey it's your first one so don't be too tough on yourself whatever the outcome.
Number 3 ( now very large) son has gone and got himself a girlfriend. A lovely quiet shy girl from his school! God knows what she thinks of our asylum! Frustrating school report as always, he is a potential "A" grade student if started to do some work!

2014 you promised so much but........
2013 was probably one of the worst years of my life! So new year, look forward not back be positive, PMA, no not the female problem!!!
Instead we finished 2013 in a trough and still no sign of emerging out of it! Business is still sparse and hard to get despite what I do!
Number 3 son ripped the ligaments in his thumb playing rugby last weekend, 5 weeks before he goes skiing in the USA. Let's just say having paid he is going even if he is strapped to his ski pole. However further complications with a 15 year old who is right handed with a broken right hand! Trauma city Arizona! He can't play on his PS4!!! More importantly can't do homework, and thinks he can get out of most things! Ha, silly boy hadn't reckoned on Dad's evil side!
Number 2 son finally got an interview with a London bank and was so excited! We researched it and I drove him down for his gruelling 2 hour interview.
Sadly and again demoralisingly he has been rejected, difficult to pick him up, it must have been so much easier in our day!
Not a lot to look forward to except the overgraduate's blog. He has promised to join my health club this year to help him remove his bloated ness in readiness to put it all back on again in Ireland.
Well head into the gale force and JFDI, don't let the bastards get you down!
Wise sayings but very difficult when all the bastards are standing on your chest!
